From technical perspective, many organizations apply sequencing approach to balance investment in horizontal components, such as business-process management (BPM) layers, with more “visible” elements to provide the proof of concept.

Technology risks, especially cybersecurity, will also require increased attention as companies transform more operations and processes to the digital state. Mitigating this risk could include fast roll back and fixes, and changing user behavior to minimize the business risk.
